Global Live Stream Kicks Off 5 SOLDIERS National Tour of Army Barracks

The Space commissions live streaming of Sadler’s Wells presentation of Rosie Kay’s acclaimed show and post-event discussion featuring senior Army officers

On Friday 8 September from 7.45pm to 9.15pm, 5 Soldiers was broadcast LIVE from an Army base in London. The live stream had more than 45,000 views and you can now watch it on demand here.

Fresh from a sell-out Edinburgh run

5 Soldiers has just finished a sell-out run at Edinburgh Festival Fringe, receiving ★★★★★ from Broadway Baby, Edinburgh Festivals Magazine and the Edinburgh Guide as well as a Summerhall Jawbone Award for ‘Greatest Festival Moments 2017’. It previously won a string of ★★★★★ reviews from The Observer, The Herald and The Scotsman for its visceral portrayal of the lives and experiences of a female and four young male soldiers as they undergo training and are deployed in the middle of a brutal conflict.

Post-show talk

As well as the 60-minute show, the broadcast includes the post-show talk where the audience put questions to a panel including Lt Gen James Bashall Commander Home Command, Lt Col Sue Wright former SO1 Arts, the show’s creator, choreographer Rosie Kay, Sadler’s Wells Artistic Director and Chief Executive Alistair Spalding and Observer dance critic Luke Jennings.
