Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader],

As we near the end of 2020, all of us at Rosie Kay Dance Company want to wish you and your loved ones a wonderful festive season - may it be the best you can make it. Whilst we're not out of the woods yet with the global pandemic we do have reasons to be hopeful and to look forward to 2021.

We made it into the theatre last month to finish Absolute Solo II, whilst we weren't able to premiere it due to the lockdown you can enjoy a sneak preview of the show below.

Bringing the full company of Romeo + Juliet together for the first time recently has given me a huge creative boost and they are an inspiring group of wonderful artists and performers. We can't wait to share our next show with you on 17 March next year as we have the great honour of being the first show back on stage at Birmingham Hippodrome after a year of closure. Read my creative update and watch some rehearsals in progress below.

I'm delighted that the board of Rosie Kay Dance Company have formally adopted the More Than A Moment Pledge for action with and for Black creatives. We've continued our work in this area by recently appointing an anti-racism champion on our board and will continue to report our progress through our website.

Happy New Year when it comes and we look forward to seeing you in 2021!

    Best wishes,
    Rosie-signature

    Experience something beautiful

During the extraordinary circumstances of Winter 2020, we are delighted to make our performance of Rosie Kay's Fantasia available to WATCH ONLINE for a limited time.

Three bold female dancers luxuriate in Kay’s signature style of athletic, visceral, raw and technical choreography underscored with a wicked humour.

Listed in the Guardian’s Top 10 Dance Shows of 2019, Rosie Kay’s Fantasia takes ballet and tutus into the 21st Century to create an exquisite performance of pleasure, beauty and finesse. Delve deeply into a soundtrack of Vivaldi, Purcell, Beethoven and Bach and revel in the vision of three bold female dancers as they explore love, loss, emotion and joy.

We invite you to experience something beautiful in Rosie Kay’s Fantasia, recorded at the Laban Theatre in 2019.

★★★★ "a winning combination, cartoonishly full of skill, verve and vitality, and tickling your senses of both humour and wonder" - The Guardian, Top 10 Dance of 2019

★★★★ "utterly irresistible" - Financial Times
