Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader],

OK, so it wasn't the end to 2020 and the beginning of 2021 that we expected and hoped for. It seems that just as had adapted to a new way of working, this virus threw a new mutant-shaped curveball at us. Sadly, that means we've had to postpone the next block of rehearsals for Romeo + Juliet and we're not yet able to announce a premiere date for Absolute Solo II but the best things come to those who wait.....right?

Our latest action as part of the More Than A Moment pledge is to recruit a new board member - please see below for all the details.

We really hope that you and your loved ones are keeping safe and well and coping with the challenges of another lockdown.

    Best wishes,
    Rosie Kay
    Artistic Director

Could you donate £15 a month?

These are challenging times for the survival of art and artists. We are fortunate to be supported in part by Arts Council England however we also rely on one-off and regular donations to continue creating new work and touring.

Donating £15 per month is a great way to show your support for the arts and means a huge amount to a company like RKDC.

    Thank you

    CALLOUT: Board Member

Rosie Kay Dance Company seek a new member to join the voluntary board of directors who are responsible for the governance, compliance and strategic management of the organisation.

First and foremost we're looking for someone who has seen our work and loves what we produce. As part of our commitment to the More Than A Moment Pledge for Action With & For Black Creatives we particularly welcome Black applicants, who are currently underrepresented on our board. We're also particularly keen to hear from someone with marketing and/or communications skills and experience, preferably in a creative environment.

The board meets four times a year, currently on Zoom but usually in central Birmingham, on weekday afternoons as well as attending events and performances throughout the year. Expenses to attend meetings can be reimbursed.

To discuss the role further please contact James Preston, Executive Director with details of your interest and skills: james@rosiekay.co.uk
