Hi [subscriber:firstname | default:reader],

Over the last few months I've been working as Associate Director and Choreographer on Woyzeck, a thrilling and tragic story about striving for a better life when everything else seems to be fighting against you, with a brand new adaptation by acclaimed playwright Leo Butler. Featuring a cast of a hundred local performers and dancers, our interpretation of this important German play celebrates the West Midlands spirit with its feisty and captivating energy.

Birmingham REP have been documenting our creative process as we've been developing the work, and two of the short films are below.

Commissioned by and premiering as part of Birmingham International Dance Festival, Woyzeck celebrates Birmingham as a world stage of creative opportunity for local people. Please come to experience the show on its 8-day run from the 15th- 23rd June, details below.

Thanks and best wishes,
Rosie Kay, Artistic Director
