'Tis the season to be dancing

There's something about this time of year where we find ourselves flicking through our TV channels in the hope of some good Xmas telly. Well, look no further...

5 SOLDIERS will be broadcast for the first time on TV, showing 2017's filmed performance from within a Central London Army drill hall in association with The Army and Sadler's Wells. Commissioned by The Space and BBC Arts, the original livestream went down a treat reaching 70,000 people. If you missed it last year, here's your chance to see it again and enjoy a thrilling dance experience. We'll be watching and tweeting so we'd love to hear your thoughts and reactions via the Twitter hashtag #5Soldiers. Let's get people talking about dance!

Something special for our fans

Here is the first podcast in The Future-Proof Artist, a new audio series featuring Rosie Kay in conversation with key figures from academic, military and media spheres. First up, Rosie is talking to Mars El Brogy, video producer at Evening Standard with previous experience at BBC Three, BBC Entertainment Development and BBC Worldwide as well as leading new media for International Dance Festival Birmingham.

The Future-Proof Artist is a podcast series for dance and culture professionals and students. We'll be asking important questions around:
What does it take to achieve success? Is failure essential to it?
How do we become resilient?
What are the new challenges to 21st Century artist, scientists, academics and producers, and are we prepared to face them?

Presented and Produced by Simon Preston.
